When you find yourself living in an area that experiences heavy storms regularly, the need to protect your home becomes crucial. Signature Outdoor Living has had the pleasure of working with many homeowners who were looking to be able to use their patios comfortably without having to constantly check the weather forecast. It is for this reason that more homeowners are installing storm screens on their homes. Not only do they keep the outside environment protected, but they also give homeowners peace of mind during those windy and rainy conditions.
Despite common perception, storm screens are not only used by large homes located in coastal areas. In most cases, many houses that have covered patios, lanais, outdoor kitchens, or pools, among others, would benefit from storm screens. The screens offer a second line of defense against the storm whenever it comes knocking. There is less chance of blowing debris, leaves, and twigs making a mess in your outdoor space. There will normally be a lot less cleanup work after the storm blows over.
One of our clients shared that they would hurry outside during every storm to move all furniture, planters, and other decorations. However, now they just pull down their hurricane screens, secure everything, and go back indoors. This way, they save lots of time and get rid of a huge amount of stress. Of course, not every screen is able to withstand any storm, but still, this extra protection helps homeowners feel more prepared.
One other reason why people love these screens is the fact that they not only come in handy in protecting one from storms. Year-round, they will give some shade and block out glare as well as insects, thus making it comfortable to spend time outdoors. Your patio will not be a once-in-a-year thing but something that can be used for a bigger portion of the year. This way, your outdoor space will become a place where people naturally want to congregate.
Signature Outdoor Living believes that your backyard deserves to be a place where you can spend time confidently. We offer hurricane screens for homes that are created to help protect the areas where you have put in some hard work into creating, as well as to make them comfortable year-round.
